My name is Vojtech Bazant, and my journey began in the world of molecular biology and biochemistry. Instead of completing my studies, I discovered an unexpected passion for beverages—a passion that evolved into a 15-year career dedicated to mixology, consulting, and education. My experience spans international cocktail scenes, notably in Prague and Singapore, where I absorbed diverse techniques and cultural approaches to beverage creation.

In 2025, I also published a Czech-language book, Český barman v Singapuru: zážitky z asijského šejkru, which captures part of that journey and my experience within Asia’s dynamic bar scene.

Throughout my career, including hosting online masterclasses for over 2000 students, I've focused on uncovering, simplifying, and sharing the science behind exceptional cocktails. My approach is straightforward, relatable, and easy to grasp, making cocktail crafting accessible to everyone, regardless of their experience level.

Currently, I'm channeling this knowledge into writing an English book that presents my simple, science-based perspective on mixology—designed to help anyone understand and create great drinks intuitively and confidently.

My goal with The Cocktail Hacker is to empower individuals and organizations to build better cocktails, smarter beverage programs, and a deeper understanding of flavor.
